Immediate need for propane in South Dakota

Because of the especially hard winter, the reserve of propane purchased by Servant's Gift to families in South Dakota is dwindling fast. Since our request one month ago, your donations have allowed us to bring propane to families in need.

We have been working through the Lakota Plains Propane and Christian families in Wounded knee, to locate these families in need.

We start with the elderly, then single moms with kids, then family units and warming shelters. Since Jan 1 we have brought heat to 4 families, each had been without heat for at least 4 days. Many heat with stoves as they have no furnaces and when they can not pay their power bill, the propane is all that they have.

Help Needed - tents for Haiti

First: I will be doing fund raising for the tents taking donations of tents and have contacted Colman Co. and a Wilmar rep to see if they will help.

Second: I need a collection point or points.

Third: I need a way to ship them to a hub? Chicago?? and then a flight to Haiti. Preferable at a lower cost or donation. I saw Fedex doing flights when I was in Haiti

Forth: Once we get them to Haiti then claim them and get them to Ganthier Haiti.

What I am looking for.. some one to help.. for real. not tell me what I might do..Please I don't need email with all sort of ideas. I need action!!!

While I was in Ganthier. the local police came to ME... and asked me to help them get tents for the people in the street. We have a piece of land to put them, I will be going ahead and setting up water and waist for the tent city, marking out lots and attempting to secure more food for a feeding program for these people. Talked to Dada yesterday and still no food in Ganthier.

With help we using the Servants Gift can really change Ganthier Haiti. Work teams next, minor medical, and more are needed. The local government will help us in Ganthier.

The word is getting out. The Saturday Argus paper will feature the SG in the religious section. I did an interview with Monmouth college TV the other day. I will get a copy and post to the web soon.. Doing WDLM on Wednesday morning. I don't want to put myself out there but it's the only way to get people to help.
